On its way to the trainer's place...

Arrived at the place where he'll stay for his 6 weeks stint to be started under saddle, he'll be ridden in both bosal hackamore rope halter and english dressage bitted bridle!

Having some tucker in the roundyard overnight to ensure he'll settle but the trainer was just surprised that he didn't try to run around to stir up the place! And I said yeah, Cleveland Bays are good lol

I think all the members have had their fun at the jumps! Few photos for tonight and hopefully the rest of the photos will up on my photography website tomorrow or Tuesday! At the near end of the day and the jumps were a little different to what they were used to, I think the riders were laughing, going around as some horses refused to jump!

Just cross posting from other forum! Thought it was an excellent idea to ask....and wonder what you all thought of it?

How do you know you are picking the right breed of horse for you? Now I know a lot of the time it's horses for courses and it depends on what you want to do with them, but how about their personalities and traits, would certain breeds suit certain people?

I know there are websites for dogs where you answer questions and it tells you the best types of breed for you ...

Hi !!

Well, this is my first post, so I guess I should introduce myself to who is Talkingshell...

I am sure you all probably know who I am, the deaf lady photographer of the Cedar Grove and District Riding Club

Unlike most of you (I think anyway) I came from out west Queensland at Tara, and just love being around horses really. We had a palomino Brumby gelding, a bay Stockhorse mare, a black/bay StockhorseXArab mare and a Taffy StockhorseXArab mare. I did Stockwork mustering ...

The vet seemed to think that he had some sort of swamp cancer and some kind of abscesses...which caused his front both legs to swell up badly like elephants, not nice! He had laminitis and has pedal osteitis (bone loss) nearly 4 years ago, he was managed fine till in the last ...
